Selecting Socks for Hiking




    Selecting a sock for outdoor recreational activity can be a tough decision and affecting the comfort level of your trip. Well, it so happens that if you are planning to go for a hiking trip, the footwear and the socks play a major role. The first thing to consider when selecting a pair of socks for a hiking trip is the weather condition, whether you are going out on a sunny day or rainy day. 

     Lightweight socks are excellent for warm conditions, though they are thin but still they provide comfort and warmth. Mid weight hiking socks are suitable for moderate temperature and mountaineering socks are the thickest, usually for snowy terrains. The duration for which you’ll be going for hiking, also impacts the decision of selecting a sock and for this reason the material of the sock is also very important. Usually available in a variety of material, each pair of socks pertains to its own environment. Different socks supplier use Wool, Synthetic insulating material, Silk, Synthetic wicking Material and cotton are some as a materials of making socks. Along with this other cushioning and support material are also used. Finally after selecting a pair of socks, it is necessary to test the ease and comfort of the socks, how their cushioning feels like and if they are comfortable then you are good to go!!
